Alejandra is a Peruvian archaeologist with an M.A. in Applied Anthropology from Northern Arizona University. She has worked for the Peruvian government for several years, first heading the National Direction of Archaeology and later as director of a large research and conservation project in Mateo Salado, downtown Lima. She has also been a teacher in the Archaeology program at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica, and in a Heritage Management Certificate in Universidad Ruiz de Montoya. Alejandra’s research interests focus on developing collaborative projects and educational programs that strengthen the connection between present day populations and monuments of the past as a way to ensure preservation and enrich daily lives of Peruvian people.
