GHF Team
James Hooper has managed GHF United Kingdom since 2007. He is responsible for the GHF UK Conservation Society Campaign, Fundraising and Trustee development strategies, Media and Events, Corporate Liaisons and Community Development programs. He has established the Cambodia Corporate Council of firms supporting the Banteay Chhmar conservation training programme and has managed the flagship community development initiatives that GHF have supported there. James is a Member of the ICOMOS International Committee for Legal, Administrative and Financial Issues and is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Grocers.
James holds a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology from the University of Bristol and a Master’s degree in Social Anthropological Analysis from Cambridge University. Whilst at Cambridge, James focused his studies on the development industry and the efficacy of large conservation organizations. He has previously worked as a campaign volunteer for the tribal people’s advocacy group, Survival International, and on a number of archaeological sites in the UK.
