Pillar and Wall Conservation
Global Heritage Fund is pleased to announce that the first conservation assessment at Göbekli Tepe in southeast Turkey took place in late September, and thorough documentation of the conservation project by means of 3D laser scanning, enhanced by drawings, sketches, photography and written descriptions, is being conducted during the rest of the 2011 season.

The purpose of the Global Heritage Preservation Fellowship Program is to support cultural heritage conservation and community development work with the potential for significant contributions to the long-term preservation of endangered cultural heritage sites in developing countries by international and in-country scholars and students.
