So far, it has revealed the world’s earliest extensive mural art—remarkable narratives that show bulls and other animals being hunted by people wearing leopard skins, vultures taking the flesh from headless corpses—and many experts see it as crucial to understanding the origin of civilization in Turkey and the Middle East.
