This past month, we sought your support to empower local communities at each of our historic project sites around the world. Our $30K in 30 Days Challenge was a call to raise $60,000, with a generous matching gift, to train culture creators and craftspeople in the coastal mountains of Colombia, the vast deserts of Morocco, and the low river valleys of China. With the help of our global network of supporters, Global Heritage Fund has successfully raised over $31,000, exceeding our challenge goal and adding a match that brings our total to over $61,000.
Our efforts to train entrepreneurs in the creative industries have implications that reach beyond the individual to address globally pressing issues. To us, cultural heritage is a catalyst for change that promotes innovative solutions to address issues ranging from gender equity to environmental sustainability through economic development in the communities we serve.
Each dollar we received in our $30K in 30 Days Challenge will directly support efforts to transform local communities. Your involvement was critical—not only did you provide job opportunities and stimulate social impact throughout the world, your support has also enabled us to use cultural heritage as a catalyst to achieve our larger goals of sustainable socio-economic development and climate action on a global scale.
